1981: A.P. Construction founded. Started with interior project work.

1991: The K.T. Murphy School marked the start of a strategic initiative in schoolwork and led to the completion of more than 27 schools.

1992: The Westchester office opened at 925 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, NY.

1992: EastRidge Properties portfolio of 18 buildings and 2 million sf awarded to Ashforth; interiors awarded to A.P. Construction.

1992: AIG was A.P.'s first trading floor project.

1993: Nick Everett, Senior Vice President, joined A.P. Construction.

1995: A.P. Construction completed renovation of the City of Stamford's Newfield & Roxbury elementary schools. This was A.P.'s first public schoolwork.

1995: A.P. Construction renovated Hyperion Software's Stamford, CT-based worldwide headquarters.

1996: New Canaan's three public elementary schools were completed. This was the largest job for A.P. Construction to-date.

1997: Corporate structure change. Andy Ashforth became CEO of A.P. Construction.

2000: A.P. Construction dollar volume reached $66 million.

2000: Greenwich High School completed. This was the first joint venture with O&G Industries and led to three more joint ventures totaling $200 million.

2002: A.P. Construction relocated from 3001 Summer Street to 707 Summer Street in Stamford, CT.

2003: The Graham Capital project was completed and valued at $15 million.

2005: Tom Walsh, Senior Vice President, joined A.P. Construction.

2005: A.P. Construction dollar volume reached $100 million.

2005: Norwalk Police Department renovation completed. The well-drawn plans and highly visible building helped make the project a success.

2005: Fairfield Public Library assumption from Klewin Building Company.

2006: The new Nokia headquarters project was completed and valued at $32 million.

2006: A.P. Construction's Westchester office relocated to 120 Bloomingdale Road, White Plains, NY.

2006: A.P. Construction celebrated its 25th anniversary.

2006: A.P. Construction donated $10,000 and 60 employees to help erect a playground in downtown Stamford, CT.

2008: A.P. Construction completed LEED Gold certified Darien Library.

2012: A.P. Construction completed 418,000 sf Chelsea Piers Connecticut project.
